1 - Can you tell us a Tell us little about your background? Where did you grow up, and where are you based now?

We growd up in the Allgäu in south Germany and started working together in a local Skateshop 7 years ago. Now one half is based in Munich and the other one is switching between Allgäu and Munich.

2 - What originally enticed you to start making music?

We both started making music really early when we were kids! Joe played violine and Chrissi played Guitar. In this way we have some bearing on music very long. Later we started Djing and producing.

3 - What do you think stands out the most about your sound?

Our Sound is diversified and danceable

4 - When did you first feel that you had finally discovered your own signature sound as a group?

We don´t have the feeling that we have our own signature sound, because we want to be versatile and don´t want to define our sound.

5 - Could you name three tracks that you think were particularly influential for your own style?

We are rather influenced by Bands than by tracks. Those Bands are Daft Punk, Soulwax, Boys Noize, Koan Sound and Flosstradamus.

6 - When you sit down to make a track, what’s the first thing you typically do? How long does a track typically take you to make?

The first thing is searching after new sounds and samples. After that we are making a raw layout arrangement for the track.

It´s hard to say how long it takes to produce a new track. Sometimes it takes one or two hours and sometimes it takes a couple of days.

7 - Where do you look for inspiration when you’re starting on a new track?

We dig old records and listen to new stuff on youtube and soundcloud

8 - Do you play any instruments?

We both stopped playing acuostic instruments years ago.

9 - What’s your studio like?

We don´t have any fancy hardware synthys. We just use logic on mac Pro with some plug ins. For Monitoring we use a pair of KRKR6 Rocket Rokip Speakers

10 - If you weren’t musicians, what would you be doing with your life?

We don´t think about something like that. We love it to do music and there is no use in thinking about what would be if...

11 - When you perform live, what’s your preferred setup, and how do you work together? How would you describe your sets?

We always use 4 Technics 1210 Turntables and 2 Rane SixtyTwo Battle Mixer for our Life Show. Meanwhile we are a good Team and know what the other one is doing. We don´t have a prepared set. We just do what we want and are very spontanious.

12 - Where do you think you will be musically in the next few years?

We always do step after step and will see in the next month and years how our music developes.

13 - What is one thing most people don’t know about you?

When we are on the road travelling to gigs we are like an old couple which is married for 50 years.... hahahahaahaaha

14 - A last word…

BANG BANG
